Skin Deep is an American comedy about two sisters who are polar opposites. Maureen, the younger, homelier, single sister, is prepared to give romance one last shot on a blind date with sweet, awkward Joseph. Sheila, the elder, glamorous/fashionable sister, is happily married to Squire. But both women have their crutches – Maureen uses humour, Sheila uses plastic surgery.
